The digital analytics landscape is undergoing a major shift, and we are here to guide you through this transformative journey. As pioneers in Greece's digital evolution, we strive to equip you with state-of-the-art tools for analyzing your digital footprint. Upholding this commitment, we are making a pivotal shift from Universal Analytics [UA] to Google Analytics 4 [GA4].
Welcome to the Next Generation of Analytics - Google Analytics 4
Over the years, Google Analytics has been instrumental in offering insights into your online performance. To continue this legacy and step up the game, we're migrating to GA4, a futuristic analytical tool devised to provide a more holistic and insightful perspective of user interactions.
The remarkable features of GA4 go beyond a mere facelift of its precursor. It's a radical innovation equipped with advanced capabilities to augment your data collection and analysis:
- Data amalgamation from websites and apps for a comprehensive customer journey outlook.
- The transition from session-based to event-based data gathering.
- Enhanced privacy controls, such as cookieless measurement, and behavioural and conversion modelling.
- Predictive abilities to deliver actionable insights without complex modelling.
- Seamless integrations with media platforms to foster customer actions on your website or app.
The Sunset of Universal Analytics
As per Google's update on July 1, 2023, Universal Analytics will cease processing new data, marking the end of its era and the onset of GA4.
If you possess a 360 Universal Analytics property, you'll enjoy a one-time data processing extension until July 1, 2024. However, post-July 1, 2023, new data will be directed exclusively to GA4 properties. You will still have access to your UA data until July 1, 2024, post which Universal Analytics' user interface and API will become inaccessible. Therefore, we recommend exporting your historical reports beforehand.
How to Onboard Google Analytics 4
Transitioning to GA4 is a straightforward process, and our team is dedicated to ensuring a smooth migration. Here are your options as an editor or administrator:
Option 1: For first-time Analytics users, initiate GA4 data collection for your website or app.
Option 2: For existing Universal Analytics users, add GA4 to your site using the GA4 Setup Assistant. It will create a GA4 property alongside your existing UA property, ensuring both collect data concurrently.
Option 3: For CMS-hosted websites [Wix, WordPress, Drupal, Squarespace, GoDaddy, WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, Awesome Motive, HubSpot, etc.], integrate GA4 into your CMS platform.
Existing Google Analytics for Firebase customers are recommended to upgrade to a GA4 property.
